All you car enthusiasts, get ready for a burst of color and creativity in Manhattan from September 17 to 22! Hyundai and Genesis are hitting the streets with 20 lively art cars, including popular models like the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Genesis G80 Electrified.

They're cruising around during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week 2023 to drum up support for Busan, South Korea's bid to host the 2030 World Expo.

Each one is decked out in vibrant, graffiti-inspired wraps designed by the talented artist Jay Flow, proudly proclaiming "Busan Is Ready," often accompanied by playful cartoon characters. There's also a cool exhibition happening at the Genesis House New York in Manhattan's Meatpacking District.

The Genesis House is an experience in itself, offering a mix of Korean flavors at the restaurant, a peaceful spot in the library, a chill-out lounge, and a tea pavilion. Besides showing off the latest cars, it's a place for special events and gatherings.

This isn't the first time Hyundai Motor Group has used art cars to promote Busan's World Expo bid. They've previously taken these colorful initiatives to Jakarta, Indonesia, during the ASEAN Summit, and New Delhi, India, during G20-related events.

The company is going all out to promote the bid, using engaging content like short videos and catchy infographics on social media.

The World Expos, previously known as World's Fairs, are all about showcasing human progress in technology, economics, and society, aiming to broaden our understanding of the world. The last Expo was in Dubai from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

Osaka, Japan, will host the Expo from April 13 to October 13, 2025. Looking ahead, three cities—Busan, South Korea; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Rome, Italy—are in a lively competition to host the 2030 World Expo. In a vote among BIE Member States, the Bureau International des Expositions will make the final decision in November 2023.
