Unveiled: The New Face Of Ram ProMaster For The 2023 Model Year

Stellantis introduced the updated 2023 Ram ProMaster at NTEA Work Truck Week in Indianapolis. The modified van has a new “super-high” roof structure and a modern look. The van retains last year's technology improvements while introducing new options and a 2023 EV version.

For 2023, Ram ProMaster will finally get the updated face that its European equivalents, such as the Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper, and Peugeot Boxer, acquired in 2014. The revamped front end features thinner headlights placed deeper but still out of low-speed crash zones, a Ram-specific bumper with a bigger grille, and cornering fog lights.
Steps are built into the revised front end for better accessibility to the windscreen.

There are 19 various configurations available for the Ram ProMaster, including 4 van lengths, 3 wheelbase variations, and 3 roof heights. For 2023, there's a special super high top option that provides 10 inches (254 mm) of greater headroom, delivering better load space and cargo height. Moreover, a new anodized aluminum rear roll-up door facilitates loading and unloading.

The ProMaster offers a cargo length of 8 feet (2,428 mm), 10 feet (3,048 mm), 12 feet (3,658 mm), or 13.5 feet (4,115 mm), and also a payload of up to 4,680 lbs and a towing capacity of up to 6,910 lbs, depending on the setup.
In terms of aesthetics, Ram will offer a Black Appearance Package for the 2023 model year, which includes a black-painted grille, emblems, and alloy wheels for a more ominous image.

Clients can also customize their ProMaster with a black machined grille and silver wheels. Two additional exterior colors are available: Ceramic Gray and Spitfire Orange.

With a 7-inch or 10-inch touchscreen on the dash, Ram's van had a lot of interior improvements last year, so it still looks very trendy inside. Optional Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, which employs ultrasonic sensors to direct the operator to and from parking spaces, is introduced for 2023. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Keep Assist, which adds Level 2 autonomous capacity, and the 360-degree Surround View camera, which replaces the basic rearview camera, are among the extra ADAS.

The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 motor generates 276 hp (206 kW / 280 PS) and 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) of torque, which is somewhat poorer than its predecessor's 280 hp (209 kW / 284 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm). The motor is only coupled to a nine-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox, which sends power to the front wheels.

A fully electric version of the ProMaster will be available in 2023, in addition to the petrol-powered version. Ram remained tight-lipped about specifics, saying that they will be revealed at a later date.

However, the business stated that Amazon will be the first customer to employ the company's fleet of thousands of BEV ProMasters throughout the United States. Ram ProMaster 2023 is scheduled to arrive in showrooms later in 2022.
