This Baby Lunar Cruiser Was Designed By Toyota's CALTY

Toyota's CALTY Design Research in El Segundo, California, is marking its 50th anniversary by offering a glimpse into the future. As part of this celebration, CALTY engaged in a creative venture, conceiving the Baby Lunar Cruiser (BLC), envisioning what the next 50 years could hold.

Namely, the BLC is a moon rover that pays homage to Toyota's FJ40 Land Cruiser and draws inspiration from the Lunar Cruiser concept.

It boasts design elements like the iconic Land Cruiser grille adorned with Toyota lettering and a prominent glass canopy for enhancing visibility. To tackle diverse lunar terrains, it incorporates augmented reality dashboard displays and airless tires powered by in-wheel electric motors.

Stepping inside, the BLC embraces innovation with spaceframe seats and versatile M.O.L.L.E. panels, epitomizing adaptability. CALTY sees its future role as one of exploration, innovation, and sparking inspiration in the world of automotive design.
