The Lawrence-Based Nefud Scrambler Is Unveiled By Brough Superior

Brough Superior debuted its first vehicle, the Lawrence, a carbon fiber-clad roadster, in March of 2021. The new bare bike, named after T.E. Lawrence, a distinguished archaeologist, diplomat, novelist, army officer, and motorcycle rider, reintroduced the brand's quality. Brough Superior's new Nefud Scrambler is based on the Lawrence platform and offers luxury, elegance, and some off-road capabilities.

Brough's latest scrambler is named after the Nefud desert in Saudi Arabia, continuing the T.E. Lawrence theme. The rust-red paintwork even looks like Nefud's red sand. The Nefud differs from the Lawrence with high-mounted exhaust pipes, a skid plate, a robust headlamp grill, and a fly screen, in addition to the distinctive paint job.

The Nefud, like other scramblers, has higher handlebars and lower footpegs than its bare version. Nefud Scrambler also receives a new wheelset with Michelin Anakee Wild tires from Brough Superior. While Lawrence and Nefud have their peculiarities, they are very similar.

The 977cc V-twin engine with an 88-degree crankshaft continues to produce 102 hp and 64 lb-ft of torque. The liquid-cooled mill is nevertheless a stressed element of the chassis. Although the Fior-style fork limits off-road activities to fire roads, the mono-shock at both ends allows daring explorers to modify rebound and preload.

The new model's pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed by Brough Superior. Expect to pay roughly €65,000 (USD 73,350) for the new Nefud Scrambler if it is anywhere near the Lawrence.
