The Gorilla Glass Technology Now Available On Cars As Well

You have probably heard of the Gorilla Glass Technology, which refers to the special type of glass used in smartphones.

Seems that the cars' producers find it attractive enough to use it. And why wouldn't they, since this would diminish the car's total weight and thus, bring an economy is fuel consumption.

BMW AG has already experimented with Gorilla Glass by using it for its interior panels on the i8 model. However, Ford takes it further and wants to use this glass for the upcoming GT models' windshields.

The future GT will also use Gorilla Glass for covering the engine and the back window. The prices for the cars using this glass technology will also increase, but not much, according to the experts.
