The 225-Horsepower Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro Is A Track-Only Superbike

Aston Martin and Brough Superior are back with a new track-only superbike, three years after the release of the AMB 001. The AMB 001 Pro, modeled after the Valkyrie AMR Pro, made its premiere at EICMA in Milan with more speed and enhanced aerodynamics.

The revised front spoiler, side wings, and rear fin on the superbike are all designed to boost downforce and enhance airflow while still maintaining the bike's signature aggressive posture.

New to this model year is a racing livery that combines Aston Martin's Verdant Jade color with Photon Lime highlights, satin-finished carbon fiber, and black Cerakote motor and suspension components. For the AMB 001 Pro, this is the sole choice.

In addition, it has the Aston Martin "lacewing" badge that was made specifically for the Valkyrie and is 99.4 percent lighter than the standard enamel version. The 997 cc twin-cylinder engine is a significant improvement over its predecessor, generating 225 hp as opposed to 180 hp.

With a dry weight of only 386 pounds, the weight-to-power ratio of 1.28 hp/kg is approaching Formula One levels. The Brough Superior facility will hand-build 88 of the Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro models. Orders are already being accepted by the companies, and the first deliveries are planned for the fourth quarter of 2023.
