Rungu Dualie Is An Unusual Three-Wheeled Electric Mountain Bike

A whole book could be written on the history of the mountain bike's development alone. This bizarre three-wheeled vehicle will certainly catch your attention. What's odd about it is how the two front wheels are mounted. Instead of having a single suspension strut on each wheel, Rungu Dualie has two front forks that are placed side by side. A linkage joins the two stems, which thus unifies the steering. Yes, it's crazy.

Taking on challenging single-track terrain with tight curves and steep climbs and descents will undoubtedly be difficult for the Dualie. It appears to be more suited to recreational riding on dirt tracks and in rural locations. Its comfortable ergonomics, large handlebars, and rear-mounted baggage rack are proof of this.

For $4,899, you receive a 52V mid-mounted motor with 328 Nm of torque. It is powered by a battery pack with a capacity ranging from 780 Wh to 936 Wh, depending on the version. The bike's drivetrain, according to Rungu, can power through inclines of up to 27 degrees, which is impressive.

Aside from the powerful engine, Rungu Dualie has two front suspension forks, two front hydraulic discs, and one rear hydraulic disc. It rides on Maxxis tires designed for fat bikes, and it has a wide-ratio rear sprocket and derailleur system for even greater efficiency. 

The company does not specify how many gears it has. Rungu Dualie comes with an LCD instrument panel, LED lighting, and an optional trailer hitch for attaching extras or towing a compact storage cart.
