There is a personal recreational tank for those who enjoy off-roading but don't believe vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco are up to the task. The Ripsaw EV3-F4 tank is made by Howe & Howe and is known as the Ripsaw.

Only a few days are remaining in the auction for this Hemmings item, and the bidding has already hit $425,000. The tank is built on a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 with a high-strength tubular steel exoskeleton. With an output of 800-hp and 1,500 lb-ft of torque (2,033 Nm), this engine is mated to an Allison 1000 five-speed gearbox.

The EV3-F4 has a top speed of 60 mph (96 km/h) and a minimum ground clearance of 20 inches. Intriguingly, the Ripsaw's cabin is supported by air springs, thus stresses encountered on the tracks aren't carried to the cabin. With matte black paint, the tank's outer surface is also protected from the environment.

Other features include LED lighting and a heated windscreen, an infrared light bar, and a remote spotlight, as well as a winch and watertight cargo compartments. The cabin has been thoughtfully built to be both luxurious and comfortable. Recaro leather seats with heating and cooling are standard on this Ripsaw.
