Lightweight Aston Martin DBX707 Model Being Considered

CarExpert claims that Aston Martin is thinking of making a more refined version of its DBX707 SUV. Andy Tokley, Aston Martin's senior vehicle engineering manager, has said that they had considered making the DBX lighter from the very beginning of the project, though the company has not officially acknowledged any such plans.

Tokley maintains that the vehicle's mass may be reduced by switching out the bench seat in the back for two individual seats and removing the customary glass roof and electric power blind. If these changes result in the expected weight savings, the SUV's performance might improve.

The Aston Martin DBX SUV's electronic stability program tuning is affected by the 220 lbs of roof load. Removing this weight could improve the car's ESP tuning and performance, as well as reduce the center of gravity, which would have a positive impact on handling and stability.
