Liberty Walk Brings JDM Style To Mechanical Keyboards In Limited Edition Collab

Liberty Walk and Original Konbini are presenting what they’re calling the world’s first JDM-themed mechanical keyboard.

Liberty Walk, known for their bold, JDM-inspired tuning kits, has applied their signature style to this limited-edition keyboard, producing only 500 units. The layout isn’t quite standard—it’s somewhere between a 60% compact and a 75% TKL, featuring a function row and arrow keys but skipping editing keys.

The keyboard’s design is full of nods to Liberty Walk’s iconic builds, with graphics inspired by their tuned cars. It’s crafted from two aluminum blocks, uses a USB-C connection, and features low-profile keys. RGB lighting illuminates each key, which rests on tactile mechanical switches.

“This is a piece of JDM heritage that lives on your desk,” explained Caleb Chandra, co-founder of Original Konbini. He added that the goal was to bring the passion and artistry of Liberty Walk’s famous modifications into people’s daily spaces. The keyboard is also available with an optional diorama desk pad designed to mimic the parking areas popular among car enthusiasts in Japan. The pad even includes spaces sized for die-cast cars and room for a mouse, appealing to both left- and right-handed users.

We still lack details about the keycaps, switches, and their hot-swappability. Liberty Walk hasn’t revealed the price, but given the mechanical keyboard world and Liberty Walk’s usual premium pricing, it’s safe to assume this won’t be cheap. Limited edition in this context likely means a price tag running into several hundred dollars—or more.
