Let's Talk About Overfinch Custom Builder And Its Marvelous Creations

Overfinch, the custom builder is a company created more than four decades ago under the guidance of Arthur Silverton, which also was the founder of the British builder. The Leeds company is on the mission to fix the Range Rover's imperfections, in his opinion. 

What started as an experiment on the 4x4 engine swaps, become more with changing the handling, developing automatic transmission, and the famous creation on a Paris-Dakar race. And all these beautiful transformations happened in leat '70s and mid-'80s. In 1984, the company got its name changed into Overfinch but remained focused on its path - developing and producing luxurious, performance, and armored versions. Let's take a closer look at three company's successful creations.

1. Holland &Holland Range Rover

Partnering with Holland &Holland in 2009, Overfinch created the ultimate shooting brake and a Range Rover with a bespoke exterior and interior with both drinking and hand-crafted gun cabinet. The funny luxury about this model is that in the first year of ownership, this customer Range Rover has a constant drink supply refill. The luxury doesn't stop here. you also get Pol Roger champagne, Balvenie single malt whisky, Hendrick's small-batch gin, Ivan the Terrible vodka, and Willow Spring Water from the Lake District. The Holland& Holland Range Rover is built in 100 units every year.

2. Land Rover Defender by Overfinch

This project is uniquely converted for a special customer Soft Top LAnd Range Rover Defender 90. The four-seater was converted into a two-seater with a removable soft top cover that can be easily folded into a special roll cage. Boosted with a GM 6.2-liter V8 producing 450 horsepower coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and a customer stainless-steel sport exhaust system. The sets got replaced with  Recaro sports seats upholstered in Emerald and Tan leather trims and a dashboard and steering wheels. 

3. Overfinch Defender 40th Anniversary Edition

Built-in only four units, this Defender 40th Anniversary Edition suffered modifications on the hood lettering that was polished in black chrome, the aluminum machined and lettered fuel cap, while the door handles stamp had Overfinch's identity. Also, the luxury note was ensured by the black satin-finished diamond-plated side sills and rear quarter panels, and a specific SVX front bumper.  The interior had the "40" crest embedded on the two-tone Recaro seat headrests. Another practical feature was the Alpine infotainment system which included the backup camera.

Other projects were the Overfinch Range Rover Sport GTS-X, Overfinch "Remasters" Defender, Overfinch Sandrignam Edition Range Rover LWB, Overfinch 580 S, Overfinch Range Rover Velocity, and Overfinch Range Rover Sport SVR "SuperSport". Each project has a unique approach and the same attention to the smallest details with the Overfinch signature. No one doubts about the project's originality and long life in a luxurious and elegant style.
