Infiniti Q50's Replacement Might Be An Electric Vehicle

According to reports, Infiniti is working on a new electric vehicle version of its Q50 sedan, which is expected to be sold exclusively as an EV from 2025. The car may be marketed as the Nissan Skyline in Japan. Details about the new EV are limited, but it is rumored to be inspired by the Qs Inspiration Concept and to feature an all-electric powertrain and all-wheel drive.

Infiniti recently previewed the new model and an electric SUV, the QX65, to North American dealers at the NADA Show. The car is expected to be manufactured at Infiniti's Mississippi plant starting in 2025.

A new report from Japan's BestCarWeb suggests that the upcoming Infiniti Q50 may not be an all-electric vehicle, as previously rumored, but a hybrid instead. The report says that the new sedan may feature a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine in combination with front and rear electric motors, with a total output of around 201 hp.

The next-gen Infiniti Q50 is expected to be around 4,800 mm long, 1,780 mm wide, and 1,450 mm tall, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. The report also suggests that Infiniti will produce a crossover variant of the new Q50 (Skyline). However, the report does not provide a source for its information.
