Honda Confirms 2025 Mid-to-Large EV Using Special Platform

Honda has officially announced that its upcoming electric vehicle will be built on a dedicated EV platform. The vehicle is expected to be a mid- to large-size model and is set to hit the market in 2025.

Honda has recently announced that they are working on a cutting-edge vehicle operating system for the upcoming 2025 EV on the e:Architecture platform. The company has also disclosed that it will be expanding its in-house software development team, with plans to hire twice as many people as initially intended.

Honda plans to make Ohio its central location for EV manufacturing in North America. The Marysville Automobile Plant, the East Liberty Automobile Plant, and the Anna Engine Plant will all need to be re-equipped as part of this. Additionally, a battery facility co-founded by Honda and LG Energy Solution will be constructed there.

The N-Van EV, a commercial van, will arrive in Japan in the first half of 2024. The N-One, a retro-styled electric vehicle, will thereafter be released in 2025. In 2026, buyers may choose between two compact vehicles, one of which will be an SUV.

The e:NS2 and e:NP2 will hit the Chinese market in the first few months of 2024. The e:N SUV concept will have a production model available by the year's end. By 2027, seven extra electric devices will hit the market there. By 2025, Honda intends for its whole product line in China to be electrified.
