Hacking Tesla Made Easy: Researchers Clone Keys Via Supercharger Wi-Fi

This group of researchers, Mysk, figured out how to clone Tesla keys by messing with the Wi-Fi at Supercharger stations. Basically, they use this little gadget called a Flipper Zero that makes a fake Wi-Fi network with a similar name to the real one.

You connect, thinking it's legit, then they somehow trick you into giving up your Tesla account info (like, maybe asking for a verification code). Boom, they're in, and from there, they can use that same little Flipper Zero device to make a copy of your key. And yeah, that means they can get into your car. Yikes.

Wait, Tesla Doesn't Even Care?

The craziest part? Tesla basically told these researchers to get lost. They said, "Uh, yeah, that's how it's supposed to work" and didn't even try to fix it.

Okay, I get that it's a few steps to pull this off and a hacker would need to be close... but still. Some of the hacking stuff we hear about is super complicated, this is a lot easier than most. Seems like something Tesla should at least try to patch up.
