Livaq's Equad ATV Promises An Exciting Ride

In the rapidly electrifying landscape, the powersports domain is now gearing up for a jolt of energy. Livaq is leading the charge with the Equad, which is an all-electric ATV.

For starters, Livaq's Equad can travel an impressive 170 miles on a single charge thanks to a modular battery system. Sporting a pair of hub-mounted 21-hp motors, it can reach a noteworthy top speed of 67 mph—an exhilarating prospect for some and a potential cause for concern for others.

To ensure stability on both roads and trails, the Equad features a four-link rear suspension and an independent front suspension. Hydraulic brakes are in place to efficiently manage speed reduction when encountering obstacles like trees.

The brainchild of company founder and CEO David Medina, the idea for the Equad took root in 2016. Despite initial challenges in finding support, the project's goal extends beyond electrifying ATVs; it aims to minimize their carbon footprint as much as possible. Reliability is a key focus, with the Equad's batteries boasting over 3,000 performance cycles, wireless charging capabilities, and waterproof stainless steel encasings for durability.

The modular design ensures straightforward battery replacement when needed. Moreover, the ATV incorporates recycled materials, specifically repurposed carbon fiber for its body panels, contributing to a greener approach. Medina describes the Equad's design as drawing inspiration from the mountain lion, capturing the wild essence with contemporary design elements. The pre-order price for the Livaq's Equad is set at $28,600, with a 30 percent discount available until March.
