When you think of a Corvette Stingray, you must be a really open-minded car enthusiast. If we'd make time to study other brand's history before reaching the path to popularity is a constant leap from sports cars to people haulers. Porsche, for example, reached its pick popularity with the Cayenne crossover/SUV. Lamborghini won the market lottery with its Urus model.

Now, General Motors over the last year was tempted, wanted to try its luck, but after studying Porsche's path, wants to develop a Cayenne-like dedicated architecture, super lightweight and super-powerful SUV. The former  GM vice chairman, Bob Lutz, says that the future Corvette SUV will have a little bigger medium-volume.

So far, GM targeted an amount of 20,000-30,000 units worldwide and a starting price at $100,000. The manufacturer wants to deliver an SUV with a stunning interior, nor V6 powertrain and the low-end version. This Stingray will be a solely stellar premium sport utility in the United States.

The turning process of a model into a brand. Toyota proved that it's possible with its Prius concept. Other examples are the spinning Dodge's Ram, Hyundai with the Genesis model. The American manufacturer didn't deny or confirmed its plans for a Corvette sedan or SUV, but analysts state that a sub-brand needs a serious investment between $7 billion and $12 billion for any automaker.

Carbuzz shows you a rendered Corvette SUV painted in a trendy Accelerate Yellow Metallic (see the main picture). Its ground clearance has a tough-looking cladding for the lower sides. This is a luxurious  SUV meant to make other envy the owner but will be able to get you to the cabin in the mountains.

Imagine a Corvette Stingray SUV with an electric powertrain, ranging up to 1,000 in the EV3X with Ultium batteries. Would you fancy Corvette Stingray SUV?
