Carcopter Is A Hydrogen-Powered Formula 1 Race Car That Can Fly At 153 Miles Per Hour

Introducing the Carcopter, a hydrogen-powered flying machine ideal for racing at incredible speeds. The groundbreaking prototype was created by MACA, a French firm, and unveiled at the 2021 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The fast weapon is aiming to be the first crewed flying hydrogen Formula 1 vehicle, with a top speed of 153 mph. 

The ex-fighter pilot Thierry de Boisvilliers and former Airbus executive Michael Krollak collaborated on the environmentally friendly layout. They chose to establish the hydrogen-powered racecar to lessen the damaging carbon emissions caused by standard combustion engines on the F1 circuit. 

The Carcopter on display at CES was a small-scale model with six 35kW electric motors and a length of about 8 feet. The finished Carcopter, which is still in development, will weigh over 1⁄2 a ton and have a length of around 16 feet. It will be equipped with hydrogen fuel cells and tanks that, according to its creators, will allow it to travel well beyond the distance that batteries allow. This flying automobile features a sleek, simple design and is one of the coolest designs we've seen in a while.

In 2023, MACA intends to debut the Carcopter on Formula 1 tracks such as Paul-Ricard, Pôle Mécanique Alès Cévennes, and the renowned Circuit de la Sarthe.
