BMW Motorrad Showcases R 18 B And R 18 Transcontinental Models

R 18 collection is growing with the addition of the new B and Transcontinental models from BMW Motorrad. R 18 Transcontinental is promoted as a "Grand American Tourer" that is excellent for long-distance travel.

The bike has a front shield and a very large windscreen, which is appropriate for its role. R 18 Transcontinental also comes with body-color wind deflectors, auxiliary lighting, heated grips, and a comfy heated seat. Body-color casings, a 10.25-inch screen, and a Marshall sound system with up to 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers make the perfect features.

The R 18 B is related, but it is more sporty and took cues from baggers. A shorter windscreen, smaller non-heated seat, and matte black details are just a few of the modifications. A First Edition will be available to buyers seeking something more special.

The custom versions come in classic black with chrome elements and white double-lining and are offered on both bikes. A customized seat and First Edition badging are also included with the vehicles. A 1.8-liter two-cylinder Big Boxer engine provides 90 hp (67 kW / 91 PS) and much more than 111 lb-ft (150 Nm) of torque in both variants.

They can also be customized with extras such as milled aluminum pieces and “Option 719” goods like Galaxy Dust paint. The new models will be available in the U.S. the following month, with the R 18 B starting at $21,495. Similarly, the R 18 Transcontinental is more pricey than the Honda Goldwing, starting at $24,995.
