After spending months studying the way customers perceive they conform inside a truck, they were able to turn those discomfort complaints into a bedroom on the wheels.

The new Max Recline Seats will be offered on King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited F-150 trucks starting in the 2021 model year.

The real Ford engineers’ challenge was to reduce the pain points for the neck and the lower back, the height difference between the two half seat bottoms when put in a line-up position. The prototype mechanism that lifts the seat bottom up to 3.5 inches and the one placed to move forward the one for the neck support took a lot of tests multiple concepts.

The result is a simple and effective mechanism for a comfortable and healthier sleep inside your truck whenever you need it.
