$122,000 Arc Vector Electric Motorcycle Is Getting Ready To Be Delivered

Mark Truman, a former engineer of Jaguar Land Rover, unveiled his Arc Vector electric motorcycle in 2018. Investor concerns following 2018 reveal resulted in bankruptcy in late 2019, rather than deliveries in 2020. In 2021, Truman repurchased the company's assets and recently informed Motorcycle News that the initiative is back in the game. It is planned that the first bikes would be delivered to customers by the end of 2022.
The Vector is constructed around a carbon fiber battery box that houses a 399-volt, 16.8-kWh Samsung pack. That box serves as a replacement for a typical frame, with all of the other components suspended from it. The battery powers an in-house engine with 138 hp and 293 lb-ft of torque.
The 485-lb bike is said to go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed that is capped at 124 mph. Arc promises a range of 271 miles. The battery may be recharged in 40 minutes using DC fast charging. High-end components like custom Ohlins TTX dampers, Brembo Stylema brakes, and carbon fiber wheels are included in the parts list.
The Arc Pilot System, which incorporates an Arc Zenith helmet with a heads-up display and a rear-view camera, as well as an Origin protective undershirt and jacket with built-in haptic feedback, is also included with the Vector.
When a vehicle enters a rider's blind spot, for example, the jacket buzzes the rider to direct him or her to the proper location. The starting price for Arc Vector is £90,000 (about $122,000).
