Brabus Just Built a Carbon-Fiber Yacht That Looks Like a Supercar on Water

Brabus has spent years turning fast cars into even louder statements. Now it's applying the same formula to a yacht. Teaming up with Sunreef Yachts, the company has unveiled the Ultima 55, a luxury catamaran that wears enough carbon fiber and black trim to make it look like it sailed straight out of a superhero movie.

Stretching 55.8 feet long, the Ultima 55 leaves little doubt about who built it. Buyers can choose between Graphite Black and Phantom Gray paint, while carbon fiber appears on everything from the roof and pillars to the vents and light housings.

The rear deck looks ready for an all-day party, thanks to folding sunpads, an extendable carbon-fiber table, a wet bar, an electric barbecue, and custom upholstery offered in Graphite, Red, or Pearl.

The cabin follows the same theme. Brabus Moonstone Masterpiece leather, Alcantara, wood trim, exposed carbon fiber, and illuminated logos create an interior that feels closer to a high-end grand tourer than a traditional yacht.

A fully equipped galley includes an induction cooktop, oven, refrigerators, and ice makers, while a hidden 43-inch TV rises from the countertop beside a Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Buyers can choose between a four-guest layout with a master suite and VIP cabin or a six-guest configuration with three guest cabins.

Power comes from a pair of six-cylinder engines producing 715 hp each, enough to push the Ultima 55 beyond 40 knots (46 mph / 74 km/h). The hydrofoil system lifts the hull above the water, cutting drag and helping the catamaran glide more smoothly. Brabus hasn't mentioned the price, although if you have to ask, you're probably shopping for the wrong boat anyway.
