Aston Martin Valhalla Spider Could Debut This November

Aston Martin is reportedly preparing an open-top version of the Valhalla, and it could arrive sooner than expected. With customer deliveries of the coupe already underway, the Valhalla Spider could make its debut as early as November 2026.

The Spider is expected to be even more limited than the coupe, which is capped at 999 cars. Reports suggest Aston Martin could use a targa-style roof rather than a traditional convertible setup. That would leave part of the roof structure in place while giving passengers a more open driving experience.

A targa roof could also allow Aston Martin to keep the Valhalla’s roof scoop. On the coupe, the scoop feeds air to the cooling systems and engine, so removing it completely would require some serious changes.

The powertrain should remain familiar. The Valhalla uses a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 combined with three electric motors. Together, they produce around 1,064 hp, putting the Valhalla in the same power bracket as the Ferrari 849 Testarossa and Lamborghini Revuelto.

Going open-top will probably add some weight, although the Valhalla’s carbon-fiber construction should help keep the increase under control. The coupe has a quoted dry weight of 3,649 lbs.

Aston Martin hasn't said how many Spider models it plans to build or how much they will cost. The coupe reportedly starts at around $1 million, so the open-top version won't be cheap. Still, it would give buyers another option between the regular Valhalla and the far more limited Valkyrie Spider, which is restricted to just 85 cars.

If the reports are accurate, we could get our first look at the Valhalla Spider before the year is over. And with more than 1,000 hp on tap, taking the roof off certainly won't make it a quiet version of the Valhalla.
