Aston Martin Revives Five Forgotten Colors For One-Off Heritage Collection

Car companies love talking about the latest colors, but Aston Martin has gone digging through its own history instead. For Monterey Car Week, the British brand has created five one-off Heritage Collection models, each wearing a paint finish that disappeared from the catalog decades ago. Turns out, some of the best ideas were already sitting in the archives.

Every car tells a slightly different story. The DB12 Volante arrives in Pale Primrose, the same shade that appeared on the cover of the DB4 brochure back in 1958.

Sitting next to it is a DB12 Coupe in Pacific Blue, a color once offered on the DB4, DB5, and DB6. The Vanquish Coupe goes with Tudor Green, lifted straight from Aston Martin's 1970s palette, while the Vantage Coupe and Vantage Roadster finish the collection in Winchester Blue and Mink Silver. They're subtle colors by today's standards, which somehow makes them stand out even more.

The nostalgic theme carries into the cabin. Every Heritage Collection model gets Dark Walnut open-pore wood trim, Q Heritage embroidery on the center armrest, unique sill plates, and Aston Martin's beautifully perforated fluted seats. The Vanquish even becomes the first model to receive the new seat design, proving that heritage and fresh ideas can live in the same cabin.

Only five cars exist, one of each model, so spotting one in the wild is about as likely as finding an untouched DB5 at your local supermarket. Still, there's something refreshing about this collection. No wild body kits, no fluorescent paint, no need to shout for attention. Just five elegant Aston Martins quietly reminding everyone that good design doesn't really have an expiration date.
