MINI Cooper S Rooftop Edition Revealed With 201 HP and Two-Tone Styling
by AutoExpert | 18 August, 2026
Mini has released plenty of special editions lately, but this one takes a pretty simple idea and makes it work. The new Rooftop Editions flip the colors between the body and roof, giving the Cooper S a look that feels a bit more playful without going overboard.
The fifth of eight limited editions planned for 2026, the Rooftop Edition comes as a Cooper S 2-Door or 4-Door.

One version pairs Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic with a Melting Silver III roof and mirrors, while the other flips the combination around. Both get matching stripes across the hood and hatch, plus 17-inch wheels and piano-black exterior trim.

Inside, Mini adds John Cooper Works sport seats with Mini logos on the backrests, black Vescin upholstery, contrast stitching and blue dashboard accents. The equipment list is generous too, with power front seats, heated features, wireless charging, a Harman Kardon audio system, keyless entry and Parking Assist Plus. The Comfort Package Plus also brings adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and augmented-reality navigation.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 201 hp and 221 lb-ft, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Mini quotes a 0-60 mph time of 6.3 seconds. Prices start at $39,995 for the 2-Door and $40,995 for the 4-Door, before the $1,350 destination fee, with deliveries starting in October.
