Lanzante Made Its McLaren F1-Inspired Supercar Even Wilder With a Huge Aero Kit

Lanzante’s 95-59 was already a tribute to the McLaren F1. Now, the British company has revealed an optional kit that gives its supercar a more track-focused look. Called the High Downforce Kit (HDK), it adds a large rear wing, extra fins, and plenty of exposed carbon fiber. The changes are hard to miss, but they fit the car well.
The 95-59 is Lanzante’s own take on a modern McLaren F1. It uses the 750S as its starting point, including the basic carbon fiber monocoque, but the chassis has been modified to accommodate three seats.

The bodywork is all new, with former McLaren designer Paul Howse helping shape the car. The headlights echo McLaren’s logo, while the rear lights take inspiration from the P1.
The HDK changes the car’s appearance quite a bit. Up front, a wide carbon fiber splitter sits below larger air intakes and a reshaped hood. New door panels and carbon fiber side skirts alter the profile, while tall fins rise behind the doors toward the rear wheels. The result is a more aggressive design than the standard 95-59.

The rear gets even more attention. A carbon fiber scoop directs cool air into the engine bay, while a large wing sits on tall supports. More fins run along the sides, and a carbon diffuser fills out the lower rear section. Center-lock wheels complete the package. Lanzante plans to offer the HDK as an option on all 59 examples of the 95-59 it intends to build.

The extra bodywork doesn’t bring any more power. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 still produces over 850 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Lanzante hasn’t announced the HDK’s price, but the standard 95-59 starts at £1,020,000 ($1.34 million) before taxes. Buyers will pay extra for the kit, though the company hasn’t said how much.
