Jeep Is Officially Entering the Marvel Universe

For years, Marvel movies were a surprisingly effective place to spot new cars. Tony Stark alone gave Audi some of the best product placement any automaker could ask for, while Acura and Lexus also found their way onto the big screen.
Now Jeep is stepping into that world.

The brand has confirmed a marketing partnership with Marvel tied to Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to hit theaters on December 18. Whether Jeep vehicles will actually appear in the film remains unclear. Stellantis marketing chief Olivier François stayed deliberately vague when asked, which is about what you’d expect when Marvel is involved.

The timing makes a lot of sense. Jeep and Captain America are both celebrating their 85th anniversaries this year, and both are closely tied to an all-American image. That theme lines up neatly with America’s 250th anniversary, which has already inspired several Stellantis special editions. François admitted the company had considered a Captain America collaboration for years, but this was the first time the timing felt right.

That patriotic connection also helped shape the Wrangler America250 Edition. According to Jeep design boss Vince Galante, the model draws inspiration from the red, white, and blue graphics used on the Super Jeep packages of the 1970s and from the spirit of the 1976 Bicentennial. The Jean Blue soft top was one of the trickiest parts to develop, requiring extensive durability testing before it was approved for production.

Galante also hinted that Jeep is continuing to experiment with more adventurous colors and materials. If recent examples like the Jean Blue interior and the plaid trim used in the 85th Anniversary Edition are anything to go by, that sounds like a very good thing.
