Genesis GV90 Is A 657-HP Luxury Beast With Coach Doors And Rotating Seats

Big luxury SUVs have become less about getting from A to B and more about what happens once you get inside. Genesis seems to understand that with the GV90.

This is a 208-inch electric flagship with 657 hp, rotating seats, coach doors, and a cabin that looks more like a private lounge than a family SUV. There’s one catch: Genesis still hasn’t revealed the price.

The GV90 measures 208.1 inches long and rides on a 127.8-inch wheelbase. Its electric powertrain produces 657 hp and 590 lb-ft, while the 123.5-kWh battery gives the seven-seat model around 311 miles of range in Genesis’ internal testing. Air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and dual electronic limited-slip differentials add to the package.

Then there’s the GV90 Neolun. Its coach doors open without a visible B-pillar, while Genesis uses extra steel beams, framing, and structural foam to keep the body strong. Inside, the SUV gets a 24.6-inch pop-up OLED display, a 25-inch head-up display, 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio, and seats with 15 air cells and pulse-vibration massage.

The front seats can rotate 180 degrees toward the second row. The four-seat Executive Suite goes even further with wood flooring, a refrigerator, tables, a partition, and a six-zone electronically tintable roof.

Now comes the interesting part. Genesis has built something that can sit in the same conversation as the big luxury names, but the price will decide how seriously buyers take it. Around $100,000 would make the GV90 look very tempting. At $120,000 or more, buyers will start asking whether the Genesis badge and ownership experience can justify the money. For now, the GV90 has the hardware. Genesis just needs to reveal the number.
