Ferrari CZ26 Is The One-Off SF90 That Looks Better Than The Original

Ferrari has a habit of saving its wildest ideas for customers who can write very large checks. The latest proof is the CZ26, a one-off based on the SF90 Stradale that gives Ferrari’s hybrid supercar a completely different face. And honestly, it may be the version the SF90 should have looked like from the beginning.

Ferrari built the CZ26 for an American customer as the 26th car from its Special Projects program. The front end gets taller and more upright, with sharper geometric surfaces replacing much of the original SF90’s softer design.

The familiar headlights disappear too, making room for extremely thin lighting elements integrated into a full-width grille. At the rear, Ferrari replaces the chunky taillights with slimmer units and removes the SF90’s V-shaped bumper treatment. The result looks wider, cleaner, and far more modern, with a slight Polestar 6 vibe and even a hint of a futuristic Kia supercar.

Ferrari leaves the powertrain alone, so the CZ26 still packs the SF90’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors. Together they produce 986 hp, enough for 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph. Ferrari also went beyond a simple cosmetic makeover, reworking the cooling system, underbody, vortex generators, front air curtains, rear spoiler, and diffuser to make the new bodywork work properly at speed. Inside, the changes remain limited to details such as new technical fabric and glossy carbon trim.

Ferrari hasn’t revealed the price, but nobody should expect a bargain. Special Projects cars take around two years to develop, with the owner involved throughout the process, and these commissions can easily climb into seven figures. The funny part is that the CZ26 might leave regular SF90 owners wishing they had waited for Ferrari to offer this design from the start.
