Czinger 21C Spyder Is A $2.75 Million, 1,250-HP Open-Top Hypercar

What if 80 Czinger 21Cs still feel like too many? Czinger has an answer, and it involves removing the roof. Meet the 21C Spyder, a $2.75 million open-top hypercar limited to just 30 examples worldwide. It keeps the coupe’s outrageous performance but adds a new trick under the skin that could make it even more capable on a track.

The biggest technical change is Czinger’s BrakeNode, a 3D-printed aluminum component that combines the brake caliper, suspension upright, and hydraulic passages into one piece.

That saves 1.5 pounds of unsprung weight at each corner while increasing stiffness by 30 percent. The Spyder also gets huge 16.1-inch front and 15.3-inch rear brakes. Czinger will offer the same BrakeNode technology on the hardtop in both the High Downforce and Vmax versions.

Power comes from a 2.88-liter twin-turbo flat-plane V8 paired with three electric motors. The system produces 1,250 hp and 691 lb-ft, with all-wheel drive helping the Spyder reach 60 mph in 1.9 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 8.7 seconds. It keeps pulling until 205 mph.

The removable carbon-fiber roof weighs only 22 pounds, although owners will need somewhere else to store it because the car has no dedicated roof compartment. Czinger claims the Spyder can generate 3,267 pounds of downforce, rising to 3,307 pounds with the roof installed, against a 3,571-pound dry weight.

Inside, Czinger continues its obsession with saving weight and simplifying components. The new NeuralNode combines the instrument panel, air vents, and key controls into a single structure. The cabin still gets wireless Apple CarPlay and a 650-watt, eight-speaker audio system with carbon-fiber speaker cones. Only 30 Spyder examples will leave the factory, making it even rarer than the 80 hardtops. At $2.75 million, the 21C Spyder offers something few cars can match: extreme performance, rare engineering, and only 30 chances to own one.
