Alpine Gave the A290 a Special Makeover — But Left the Power Untouched
by AutoExpert | 13 October, 2026
Alpine has introduced the A290 Collection at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, giving its electric hot hatch a distinctive set of colors, wheels and interior details. The special edition keeps the same powertrain options as the regular model but adds a few touches that help it stand apart.
It’s available across the GT, GT Performance and GTS versions.

Buyers can choose between Snow White and Matte Storm Blue paint, both paired with a Deep Black roof. One of the biggest changes is the body-colored fender extensions, which replace the black plastic trim found on the standard A290. The result is a cleaner design that puts more emphasis on the car’s wide stance.
The 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels feature a snowflake-inspired pattern, while silver-grey brake calipers add contrast. Chrome Alpine lettering on the charging port comes as standard, and buyers can also order a French flag on the C-pillar.

The cabin gets its own color scheme, with Deep Blue and Evee Grey upholstery across the seats, door panels, dashboard and center console. A heated steering wheel is included, finished in black, while a blue version is available as an option.

Power comes from one of two electric motors producing 178 hp or 217 hp. Both versions use a 52 kWh battery, which delivers a claimed WLTP range of up to 236 miles. The Collection package doesn’t bring extra power or additional range, so the main differences are in the styling and cabin finish. Buyers can choose the version that suits their performance needs and add the exclusive design details.

The A290 has become a key model for Alpine, accounting for around 70% of the brand’s sales. Nearly 80% of buyers come from outside the Renault Group, suggesting the electric hot hatch is reaching a wider audience.
The Alpine A290 Collection edition is on display at the Paris Motor Show, running from October 12 to 18, alongside personalized versions of the A390, a sculpture previewing the next-generation A110 and a mystery concept that could eventually become a production grand tourer.
