2026 Skoda Slavia Gets A New Look And A Surprisingly Low Price
by AutoExpert | 8 October, 2026
The Skoda Slavia is the kind of car that can easily get lost next to the bigger Octavia. But in India, it has been doing its own thing since 2021, and now it has a fresh face for 2026. There is one detail that makes the update especially interesting: the cheapest version now costs Rs 10 lakh ($10,400), which is less than the price of the original Slavia when it launched in 2022.
The changes outside are easy to spot without making the Slavia look like a completely different car.

Skoda reshaped the front bumper, changed the grille and gave the headlights new LED graphics. New 16-inch wheels freshen up the side, while the rear gets a black strip between the taillights with Skoda lettering and new sequential indicators. Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige are also new paint choices.

If the regular Slavia feels a little too sensible, there is always the Monte Carlo. It gets black wheels, red brake calipers, red grille accents, a black roof, and carbon-look details, plus a small collection of extra bodywork. There is a splitter, side extensions, a rear diffuser, and a trunk spoiler. Skoda does not change the engine or suspension, though.

Inside, Volkswagen puts more effort into the details. The digital instrument display grows from 8 to 10.25 inches, while the infotainment screen measures 10.1 inches and adds AI features. Rear massaging seats, a 360-degree camera, and quicker-cooling air conditioning are also available. Six airbags are standard, although the Slavia still misses out on more advanced driver-assistance tech.

Skoda keeps the engine lineup simple. The 1.0-liter turbo makes 114 hp and can now be paired with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. The 1.5-liter produces 148 hp and comes with a seven-speed DSG and front-wheel drive, while also gaining rear disc brakes. Prices top out at Rs 18.84 lakh ($19,500) for the Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DSG. So while the Slavia has never been the star of Skoda’s lineup, the facelift gives it a fresh shot at buyers with updated styling, more cabin tech, and a starting price that’s hard to ignore.
